The Avlon Texture Release

In the past few years we’ve witnessed a continuing decline in chemical relaxer sales, as women choose to avoid applying excessive chemical treatments to their hair. But what if we told you there’s another treatment that can offer the same option of straight hair and increased manageability but without compromising the health of your hair!

Crazy right? You may not have heard of a Texture Release until now, or maybe you have but never learned much more about it. Either way, this post will answer everything you need to know about the Avlon Texture Release!

Since its first release the Avlon Texture Release Texture Management System has grown increasingly popular with the clients looking for styling diversity in their natural curly hair. So, what actually is a Texture Release treatment?

The Avlon Texture Release System is a heat activated treatment that penetrates deep into the hair fibres to enable styling versatility and increase manageability. The system is aimed at woman with curly to tightly coiled hair that would like the option of straightening or elongating their curls without causing damage. If you find yourself yearning for the versatility of being able to wear your hair straight or curly, or maybe just an elongated curl pattern that’s easier to manage day-to-day, this treatment may be just what you’re looking for! This is also a great treatment for those of you that are transitioning from relaxed hair back to natural.

The best feature of the Avlon Texture Release System? Its completely free of harsh chemicals and packed with natural ingredients, this product leaves the hair feeling amazing!

Here’s how it works: The 'S' bonds or Sulphur bonds are strong chemical bonds that hold together the protein structure of our hair. They are responsible for the strength and elasticity of your hair, amongst other things. When relaxing hair, these bonds are broken (in order to break down the curls) and new bonds are formed, however this is not the case for a Texture Release. The Texture Release System contains enzymes that connect the keratin in the products to the hair fibres, allowing the hair to be held in the desired shape for 10-12 weeks while shielding the effects of humidity on the hair.

Another great feature of the Texture Release treatment, is the ultimate versatility that it offers: you choose the type of finished look according to your desired level of straightness. So, take your pick:

Optimal Finish:This is the ultimate straightened finish achieved by the application of increased passes with the flat iron required to achieve that level of straightness.

Versatility: This finish is ideal if you require versatility with your look, and desire the option to change your finished look from straight to curly.

Elongation:This outcome is used to loosen your natural curl pattern as a means to reducing shrinkage and promote more definition within your curl pattern. This result can be achieved without the use of flat irons.

For coloured hair:

Note: It is not possible to apply a colour and a Texture Release during the same appointment. We suggest getting a Texture Release treatment first and then applying the colour at least 3 to 5 days after.

There are plenty of women who prefer a natural look and want to rock their natural head of curls more often than not, but for one reason or another, don’t want to wear their curls as they are. This may be because they’re not comfortable or confident enough in their own kinks, they don’t have the time to style it every single day or they haven’t found the best styling techniques or perfect products to achieve their hair goals! Either way, Avlon Texture Release could be the ideal solution, offering the versatility of wearing your hair straight from time to time without the usual hard work!
